Joss In June Issue of Slayage is now Live!

Just when you were about to give up, I am happy to be able to announce that the special Joss In June double-issue of Slayage is now live:

and on the Slayage main page:

Dale and I would once again like to thank you all for your patience, hard work, and wonderful writing. You have been published in the leading journal in the field of Whedon Studies, and each and every one of you should be very, very proud of yourselves - almost as proud as Dale and I are to be able to help get your incredible scholarship out to a wider world.

Congrats!

Joss In June Slayage Issue Update (01/08/14)

08 January 2014

Hello all, and Happy New Year!

As of today, all of your papers have been sent off for blind peer review. We are extremely pleased with the folks who have agreed to help out with the review process, and many have expressed excitement at the opportunity to read your work. Matching the right paper to the right reviewer took a bit more time than expected, however, so, as expected, we're altering the timeline somewhat:

06 February 2014: all essays will be returned to Dale and I from peer reviewers.

13 February: Your essays are returned to you with comments and recommendations from the blind reviewers, Dale, and me. At this point you have three (3) weeks to revise.

06 March: Your final drafts, revised as necessary, are returned to us.

20 March: Having been copy-edited and formatted by your trusty co-editors, your essays are sent off to David Lavery for publication in April or early May.

Again, real world friction may cause this timeline to change, but I will do my best to keep you advised throughout the process. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me and we'll do our best to get it sorted out ASAP.

That's it! Thanks again!
